Chrystie L. Obie, MSW, LCSW

Psychotherapist- Chrystie L. Obie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New Jersey who
earned her Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University. Chrystie takes a mindfulness-based
approach that allows her caring, empathetic, and down-to- earth nature help her guide clients on the
pathway to a life worth living. Chrystie’s goal is to provide a judgment-free and nurturing environment
where it is safe to undertake change.
Chrystie has extensive experience working directly with women, adolescents, the LGBTQ population,
and families from ethnically and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds that have experienced chronic
suicidality, self-harm, trauma, addiction, disordered eating, mood and personality disorders.
Over the past four years, Chrystie has been employed as a Senior Primary Therapist with Princeton House
Behavioral Health, where she has worked with both the Women’s and Teen Girls’ Partial
Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient Programs. Chrystie was a founding member that established the
newly formed Teen Girls’ Program for adolescent females within Princeton House. Chrystie collaborated
on the development and implementation of the curriculum and programming for the adolescent program.
Additionally, Chrystie created a core curriculum for LGBTQ psychoeducational and therapy groups.
Chrystie is energetic and passionate and possesses strong clinical skills working from Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) frameworks. Chrystie received
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Intensive Training directly through Behavioral Tech.
